Third meeting of the KLABS Project Management Team and KLABS Editorial Committee will be organized at the State University of Novi Pazar, Serbia, on 22, 23 and 24 March 2017.
Third KLABS study visit and workshop, dedicated to the development of new postgraduate curricula and creation or enhancement of conditions for programmes’ implementation at six Western Balkan partner higher education institutions, was organized at the RWTH Aachen University, from 14-16 December 2016. The event was marked by the achieved progress in terms of production of educational material which accompanies WB developed curricula. Based on the terms set in the development stage, it is expected that the finalized material will be useful not just to the students at newly developed courses, but as well to the wider learning community, thereby increasing the impact of the project beyond consortium boundaries.
From 12-14 October 2016, Consortium KLABS will organise the meeting at the “Džemal Bijedić” University of Mostar, BiH. The meeting will be consisted of working sessions of KLABS Management Team, Editorial Committee and Committee for Quality Assurance, and the monitoring visit organised by Erasmus+ Office in BiH. This will be the third monitoring visit to KLABS project, following the visits in June 2016 at the Faculty of Architecture – University of Belgrade and the Faculty of Technical Sciences – University in Kosovska Mitrovica.
At Venice Biennale, KLABS will organise a workshop MY_RES, an open debate where participants will
have the opportunity to discuss the relation of their work to the challenges of resilience and
sustainability. KLABS brings together 11 academic institutions from various regions of Europe,
each of them bringing its own perception of current condition and specific path to a promising
future. While the workshop’s title is MY_RES, referring to the issues related to the general
scope of the project (FOR SUSTAINABLE AND RESILIENT ENVIRONMENTS), workshop’s result should be
OUR_RES, referring to the common points of interest, nodes identified through the debate that
could evolve into bonds, strengthening the relations and defining the scope of collaboration
between the participants. RES can be interpreted as short from RESilience or
Resilience-Ecology-Sustainability or RESearch or RESolution or … - bring your own RES to

The Kick-off meeting of the Erasmus+ CBHE project Creating the Network of Knowledge Labs for Sustainable and Resilient Environments was held at the Coordinating University on 12 and 13 January 2016. The goal of the meeting was to acquaint all project partners with the most relevant issues of project implementation, to discuss and confirm the aim, objectives, workplan and results foreseen by original project application, to establish project bodies, adopt quality and dissemination plan and the project logo, as well as to introduce project subject to the national policy makers in the field of higher education.
The project Creating the Network of Knowledge Labs for Sustainable and Resilient Environments was presented as successful project development case example at the Erasmus+ Info Day organised at the Coordinating University on 25 November 2015. Teaching staff representatives from all faculties within the University, Erasmus+ NEO officers and the representative from the EU Delegation were informed at this occasion about the most significant elements of the project as well as about the methodology applied in its development.
The project Creating the Network of Knowledge Labs for Sustainable and Resilient Environments was presented as a good practice example of German-Western Balkan cooperation at the Networking Forum “EU-Higher Education Cooperation between Germany and the Western Balkan region (with a focus on capacity building)” organised on 23-24 September at the University of Belgrade by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in cooperation with the DAAD Information Centre Belgrade, the National Erasmus+ Office in Serbia and the University of Belgrade.
